Dawn O. She is the immediate past president of the Western States Communication Association (2001-02) and is the recipient of numerous teaching and service awards (among them: 2002 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Achievement in the Social Sciences; 2002 NCA Presidential Citation for Service; 2001 Wayne Brockriede Scholar Award; 2000 ACA Gerald Phillips Mentoring Award), She has, as well, won an NCA Top Paper Award every year for the past 4 years.
