Simply put: If you work in the disability field, buy this book. Do no think it is not for you if you do not
work with deaf or hard of hearing people. The book could be a model of what to include in a disability rights book.
This book grows better with age as more information is being added each time. It covers a lot of topics, from The
Americans with Disabilities Act to telephone services, well. There are practical hints on what is a reasonable
accommodation and suggestions, such as the American Medical Association's position on interpreters. There is also
a list of state agencies that serve deaf and hard of hearing persons, a recognition of the practical reality that
there is life beyond the Washington Beltway.
